Spellbound...Deux!

Last November I was thrilled to be asked to teach at The Gilded Life's creative event, Spellbound, held at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena, California.  The event featured four days of workshops, shopping and inspiration....including a trip to the Rose Bowl Flea Market early Sunday morning.  The weekend was magical and staying at the historic hotel made me feel like I had escaped to Italy for the weekend!
And since, you can never get too much of a good thing...the girls have decided to do it all over again next November 7-10th, 2013....same time, same place!  If you thought about coming last year, but didn't make it, here's a second chance!

I have been asked back to teach two workshops: Couronne de Fleurs - a hand-beaded tiara, and, Bibelot Rose - a necklace dripping with all of our vintage goodies.  There are also a handful of other teachers coming from all across the US, including: Cathe Holden, Kristen Robinson, JoAnna Pierotti, Pamela Huntington, Terri Brush...and the Gilded Life girls themselves!  To see all of the workshops being offered, look here.
Don't wait too long, spaces are limited, register for
French General also hosts the pre-party, held the Wednesday night before the event....just to kick the weekend off on the right note...the Lillet note!
See you at Spellbound!

Petite Inspiration

If you happen to be visiting Los Angeles this weekend and need a bit of creative inspiration, head over to French General on Saturday, April 13th from 1-4 and learn how to make our Petite Beaded Crown.  Simple bead and wire wrapping techniques create an encrusted small crown that is reminiscent of early  beaded French crowns.  Choose any color accent beads and finish your petite crown with yards of hand-dyed ribbon from Hanah Silk...one of my favorite ribbon dyers these days!  Call the shop to sign up 323 668-0488 or sign up online.
