Thank you!
I met you in St. Louis when you were teaching at Mary Engelbreit's Workshop. I am an old friend of Charlotte Lyons! And I understand your workshop was fabulous! I was on a mission when I went there because I was looking for my great, great aunt's sculptures there. She was a an artist working in the late
1800's, early 1900's. I finally found her work buried in a dusty, off-the-wall room. She had a beautiful little sculpture, carved in great, flowing detail that I think was called "Liberty" and that had been displayed at the World's Fair. I wish I could have taken it home to display and enjoy instead of it buried for no one to see. Her name was Evelyn Beatrice Longman and her works are displayed in several museums back East. She also carved the doors to the Chapel at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. I hope to visit those one day.Janet Berryhillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14323091234274683615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20246519.post-68047563207445341912011-01-23T06:29:47.184-08:002011-01-23T06:29:47.184-08:00You are so cool Kaari.
