La Petite Ecole Giveaway

Our newest fabric line from Moda, La Petite Ecole, has arrived! Our latest collection is inspired by the small prints, polka dots and stripes used by the school children in France to cover cahiers - their small notebooks. I love the faded reds, grays and blues in this line - the colors are perfect for a little boy or girls room.
If you need/want/must have more fabric to add to your stash collection -- leave us a comment about your New Year craft resolution and we'll choose a couple of lucky winners to receive a handful of Petite Ecole prints.
There's also a great block of the month designed by Anne Sutton that uses La Petite Ecole - just in case you can't get enough of this collection!

Two years ago for New Year's Day I decided to move my sewing area to our unfinished attic, and turn it into a haven. I thought it would take a couple of days to get it into order, but after two years, the job is still not complete. My 2011 New Year's resolution is to keep organizing and adding things I love, so that I will be surrounded by inspiration. I know better now than to resolve to "finish", because my evolving projects make it a never ending job-or "joy", depending on how one looks at it, lol!

my new year's craft revolution starts with cleaning up the aftermath of holiday orders. From November to December, it was a flurry from Silver Bella to a local sale and open house. My New Year's crafty resolution is to learn ALL of the in's and out's of my sewing machine, embroidery machine and serger. I have had these machines for a few years now and only know how to preform basic functions on them. I know they can do so much more!
I would love to use your beautiful fabrics when I learn how to do something really neat!
Happy New Year!

Next year I'm going to make, and not buy toys for my 3 year old boy and baby girl. These kids need to grow up seeing their mama crafting!

My main NY's R is to be more focused and organised in my crafting.
Hopefully that will lead to a greater output and less mess.
Ideas start swirling round in my head and I can't help myself starting a new project.
Thanks for the opportunity to enter the giveaway.

My problem is that I just LOVE all your fabric lines. I received the Rouenneries line as a Christmas present last year and throughout 2010 was not able to decide for a project to use it in case there might be THE perfect one around the corner that I just am not yet aware of. You see, I used to be undecisive, but now I don't know ....
So, my resolution for 2011 is not only to watch my Rouenneries but use them.
And maybe a little pile of "La Petite Ecole" would help me overcome my hesitation ...
Thank you for all the wonderful fabrics you're designing for us and for the chance to win some of them!
Happy New Year

I have struggled with sewing over the years, but just purchased a new sewing machine. I took a journal class from mary ann moss called Remains of the Day where I learned how to sew a beautiful journal cover. My resolution is to enjoy sewing and incorporate it into my altered art projects. I love your fabrics and hope you pick me, : )

my craft intention is to take my new sewing machine out of its box.

the same box it has been sitting in since last February.

i love typography + fonts and anything vintage school related.

my grandmother was a teacher and a gifted seamstress.

this year i am determined to channel her spirit through my sewing machine...with a little practice...

OMG! The machine is still in the box! There's too much beautiful fabric going to waste, while that machine sits idle. :)

Happy 1-1-11! I'm excited to have the fall craft season behind me and new roads ahead. My resolution is to continue to develop my own sense of style. I've also been thinking about creating a new item using my vintage collections of ephemera and sewing notions.

My new years resolution is to make a quilt for my king size bed. I have made quilts for my children, but not for my own. I love French General and plan on finishing my quilt...I just need to decide if it will be all petite ecole or a combination of French General.

My New Year resolution is to make more quilts and knit more items for those I love. Quilting for others is always an act of love, the time, thought and effort that goes into a quilt is always influenced by the caring that you feel for the person, and how much they will love the item made. Recently, my only daughter and new husband, informed me, that we will be having a new family member in this new year. So for me, the New Year resolution is a perfect for me to show my daughter, how much I love her, and already love out new baby.

My craft resolution is to finally learn to sew more than a straight line. My almost 80 year old grandmother is teaching me and I want to learn as much as I can from her!

I am a new quilter (a few months new) and just love this line. I love all things french related and have an interest in making mini-quilts. A small sample of this line would be a wonderful start!
Thank you for the give-away!

oh, to have vintage-looking school prints to share with my twin 10 year olds (who sew quite well) would be a real thrill! my new year's resolution is to take time to slow down (me) and teach my girls some great sewing tips! they already can piece fabric so they're on their way! their grandma is an avid quilter so we're spoiled that way. their other grandmother spends much of her time making humanitarian quilts. we love fabric!

La Petite Ecole fabric just arrived in the UK. I was on my way out of my quilting class when I saw the opened delivery box on the shop floor. I ordered straight out of the box. I could not believe it. I went through all their deliveries and then chose the ones I really liked. Wish I could have them all but I may just get kicked out by my family.
Already dreaming about what to make for my son's school with what I got.
