After our Art of Craft weekend, I am left with a bag full of scraps from our new paper craft line with Jolee's Boutique. I would love to send some bits out to someone who would like to create something beautiful.

So here are the rules....

2. If you receive a bag of scraps, create something beautiful.
3. Send a picture to me at notions@frenchgeneral.com
4. Be willing to let me show it here on the blog when our paper line is released in May 2012.

That's all...just a few guidelines...anyone up for the challenge? You've got nothing to lose, except an hour of creativity! Here we go.....

    Dear French General-

I'd love to receive the scraps you mention. I make "ornaments" that will
certainly show up on my tree at Christmas this year, but that are cheering
    to display year round.

They combine beads, cut paper bits, vintage paper-and more.

    So, there you go!

    All best-Jean

    Hi Kaari!

I would love to receive a bag of scraps! Bits are the best source of
new inspiration and I would gladly take the challenge!

I recently moved to Missoula, Montana (from Lake Tahoe) and the
sources here are, well, let's say limited. I did walk into a bright
shining star of a store yesterday though, that had your books on the
shelf! It's called Selvedge Studio, and I'm so happy they are here! I
mentioned to the owner how much I love your books and patterns and she
said she has made many of them too! Just thought you'd like to know
how far your influence goes out there :)

I wish I was closer to take some of your classes (and have the funds
to go on your French trips!!!!!!) but in the absence of those
opportunities, I hope I can play with your paper!

    Have a great day, Kaari!

    Hello Kaari,
    Congratulations on your new venture!!
I teach scrapbooking, Artist Trading Cards and small book making. Currently, I am creating a book on the journey of "Zarafa", a true story about
a giraffe who traveled 500 miles from Africa to the heart of Paris in the year 1827. She was given to Charles X of France from Muhammad Ali of Egypt and lived in Jardin des Plantes for eighteen years. I would just love to see all your new paper and embellishments travel on these pages.....

  164. Wow, you have 163 comments to this already! I hope you have a whole lot of paper scraps to share! I would LOVE to make something beautiful with your remnants . . . It's the middle of the night where I am right now, and, I have been perusing all of your fields on your website, and I keep looking at everything over and over, not quite ready to go to sleep, not quite willing to relinquish this day's beauty and inspirations. So, I thought I would "enter" your free scrap giveaway! Thanks for giving us all the opportunity to win!!
