Christmas in July Giveaway

It's taking me some getting used to Moda's fabric schedule. I never thought I would be able to even think about Christmas in July - the thought of it always wanted to make me want to run! But - here we are - with the release of our first holiday fabric collection - Lumiere de Noel - and I am loving it! So instead of waiting till November - and starting to think about projects you may want to create for someone - think about it now! Moda figures it will take you a few months to sew up that holiday quilt - so they release all of their holiday fabric during the month of July. To get you started - I've pulled a few of my favorite prints and made up a couple of swatch bundles - leave me a comment about your upcoming (!) holiday project and we'll pull a few lucky winners by the end of the week. Joyeux Noël!

I've designed a table runner which I will start working on this Summer holiday. It was hard to choose: 1 for Christmas or 1 for every season. I chose the last, because the Christmas fabrics haven't arived here in Belgium yet. But I'm sure it will look great in your beautiful new fabrics too! What a great excuse would that be, to make 2 table runners ;o)

My Granny always made each family a special quilted item at Christmas. Then my mother took over after her passing, making the quilted tree skirt or table runner. Now she has passed the torch on to me and I love doing it.....MUCH easier than fighting the Christmas shopping crowds :) AND they don't have to stand in the long return lines to take back something they don't want **smile**

After dating a year and a half, my boyfriend and I are moving in together! We are both very excited to start sharing our lives (though of course a bit nervous). He has never been very much into the holiday spirit, but the last year, seeing how much I love Christmas and how much I get into it, he has warmed up to it and came to enjoy all my decorating and holiday cheer. I would love to make stockings to hang for our first Christmas living together, something nice and simple to start our first year together right!
