We designed four quilts for our new collection, Le Bouquet Francais.  Each quilt was lovingly hand-sewn and quilted by our talented group of quilting ladies....I am always amazed when these quilts arrive and every one is more beautiful than the next...I hope you enjoy them!

Order any of our quilting patterns  HERE

We also started a collaboration with a wonderful haberdashery and fabric store in Melbourne, Australia, called L'Uccello.  L'Uccello has designed a wonderful set of sewing accessories using our fabric collection.  Inside each pattern is a full size pattern that you can use to make up these lovely beauties.
I was introduced to L'Uccello by a mother-daughter team who come to France with us each summer...they own a lovely quilting shop (also in Australia!) called Hettie's Patch. I love it when the perfect opportunity happens and everyone comes together at just the right moment...that's what happened with L'Uccello....and we are looking forward to their upcoming Petite Patterns in the future!

Order our Petite Pattern with L'Uccello HERE

We also designed a special quilt kit that is only available through French General and only if you act fast...

Order our Bouquet Bleu Quilt Kit HERE

Thanks to Moda, I have a handful of giveaways to accompany this blog hop, as well as some cute fabric button bracelets, so go ahead and leave me a comment about your favorite new GADGET...I am always looking for the next big thing to help my sewing!  Sofia will choose the lucky winners within the week and we will send out some prizes! Thanks for playing along!

Karen Kay Buckley's "Perfect Circles" and "Perfect Ovals."

They truly do make perfect applique pieces. How did I ever live without them?

My new Accuquilt cutter. I cut a whole quilt out in less that 30 minutes.

Not sure if this is exactly a gadget, but I have gotten a lot of use from a glue stick that is made for fabric when I'm trying to get small pieces to stay in place until they are stitched, like the tabs on zipper pulls for zipper pouches. Look ma, no pins.

Kim said...

My new gadget was the Hex 'n More ruler I bought at my LQS.

GranChris said...

I suppose Wonder Clips but I would really like a good small craft iron. Notice I said GOOD.

Margi Duffy said...

I just got a seam ripper that has a rubber top that cleans away those tiny threads left behind. I'm not a fan of having to use Jack the seam ripper but it is bothersome to rip..reset and go to iron and there is one if those pesty left over threads sewn into the seam allowance, this little guy that comes in fun colors takes care if that.

ledamewood said...

My favorite new to me tool is Wonder Clips. I use them for so much more than binding.

Rhonda the Rambler said...

Let me start by saying I save money where I can so I can spend it in other fun places like fabric. We'll wonder clips are fabulous but rather expensive! In order to hold down an entire binding I would need to spend a small fortune. Well Walmart sells these small plastic clips advertised as paper clips but work very well to hold the binding down I can get 50 for 1.99!!! If you would like a puc let me know....oh there are many other uses....

My new gadget that I love is using a stretchy bandage cut to fit over my finger as a thimble. It's comfortable & doesn't feel bulky on my finger. It's tough enough to keep the end of the needle from poking my finger . . . and it's cheap. A whole roll lasts me a long time. I just cut a little bit of the bandage off each time I need a thimble. It molds to my finger & I have re-used them. They tend to hold their shape once they are pulled off.

Wendy said...

my favourite gadget is my rotary cutter. Or maybe my phone.

Karen said...

sixth finger...can't sew without it

I love my BlocLoc ruler for squaring up half square triangles. Its the best!

My new favourite gadget is the fit to be geese and fit to be square rulers.

I just found the 'pressing stick' and L-O-V-E it! When I first saw it, I thought 'really? who needs a stick to help press seams open?' But... especially for pressing seams open, it's the BEST ever!
p.s. also LOVE the new fabric line!!

QuilterLaura said...

Maybe the newest one...the pinking blade for my Olfa rotary cutter. I always pink the edges of fabric before washing and this little beauty has saved my hands!

Diane H said...

I have finally purchased some Frixion erasable pens for marking my quilts. Love the super fine lines.

Jacklynn Grimm said...

My favorite new gadget are my Frixion pens - you can draw your FMQ design on your quilt, stitch over it, and iron your quilt. The friction from the iron erases the ink. Too cool! Thanks for the give away!

Kay said...

My favorite new gadget is an electric shaver ripper. Not that I ever need to use it!

Anonymous said...

Can't live without those little red Wonder Clips. LOVE them!!! Love your new fabric line as well!

Sharon J. Hughson said...

My favorite newest gadget are the Grip Strips for rulers and templates by Guidelines. Honest to God, these things work and I've tried about everything to keep my rulers from slipping and these are the best hands down. I even have ordered a second set b/c I got tired of moving them around from ruler to ruler which is actually a selling point since they are reusable.

Mrs Quilter said...

I just love my Clover patterned leather coin thimble. It really protects my finger whilst being comfortable to wear.

floyquilts said...

I love the Flying Geese Bloc-Loc rulers. the make the perfect little blocks. Thanks for the block pattern.

Terry said...

My favorite gadgets are self-threading needles. They make burying thread ends when machine appliqueing so much easier and quicker. Pulling threads to the back, tying them off, then burying them is still not a job I look forward to, but the self-threading needles sure speed up and ease the process.

kshackabq said...

If you haven't tried the seam-fix ripper and thread remover tool, give it a go. It really works! Love your new line.

Patti p. said...

My favorite gadget is the rotating cutting mat!

Karen said...

I don't use too many gadgets but since my least favorite part of quilting is cutting I am so thankful for my rotary cutter and rulers. Your new fabric line is so beautiful!

Karen J said...

Besides the rotary cutter and mat, my square templates, which make cutting even easier!

The Victorian Girl said...

I just bought a package of row markers that are made of safety pins with little flower shapes that have the letters of the alphabet. I don't know if I'll ever make a quilt with 26 rows, but at least I'll be prepared!

I know it isn't NEW, but it was new to me....hope that counts for something!! I just recently purchased the "add a quarter" inch ruler set--I love that thing!! I use the set all the time...such fun to find something great and actually put it to use regularly!! I love your style (it doesn't hurt that red is my favorite color!!) Thank you for the cute banner and the letter G.

Cowtown Quilts said...

I'm not sure this is my favorite new gadget, but it's new. ;) It's a Wahl Seam Ripper that looks like a little Wahl Razor. Some people use a mustache trimmer instead. I'm a longarmer, so I am always picking out stitches. This comes in handy not so much for longarmers but for those who really do need to take a SEAM apart in a hurry.

Kathy McDonald said...

I recently purchased my first Bloc Loc ruler (for half square triangles) and I'm wondering how I ever managed without it! I love your new fabric line AND the patterns.

I'm afraid I don't use gadgets much in my sewing. I do love the 'easy angle' ruler for making sq-in-a-sq blocks. Love your fabric lines. I'm collecting my favorites pieces from each to use in a quilt inspired by an antique Welsh quilt.

I so love the French General Fabrics! I am currently working on a block of the month using them, and the color palette and designs are just so pleasing to me. I'm always excited to see the new lines when they come out.
